7days and 6 nights
Come immerse yourself in history, walking along the long, centuries-old road that led pilgrims from Canterbury, England, to Rome. The Via Francigena was walked by Sigeric, the Archbishop of Canterbury, in 990 AD to pay a visit to Pope John XV. It passes through Tuscia, crossing a dozen charming medieval villages, such as Proceno, Acquapendente, Bolsena, Montefiascone, Vetralla, Sutri and, of course, Viterbo. With inTuscia you will retrace the steps along the ancient route in six days of guided hiking along the paths of the ancient pilgrims, taking in spectacular views over the hills of Tuscia. At the end of each section, guided tours and relaxing moments at the thermal sites that characterize the area will make you fall deeply in love with our land. Not to mention the delightful, authentic dinners and wine tastings that will rejuvenate you after intense days full of discoveries and surprises.
