Within the enchanting setting of Tuscia, the homeland of the Etruscans, inTuscia and Regula Zwicky are delighted to offer you an exhilarating journey of art and history, discovering the ancient secrets of Tuscia and learning the fascinating art of stone sculpturing.
This course is designed to help individuals feel the true charm of sculpting and make their own piece in a family environment under the guidance of an experienced sculptor. Regula will follow every trainee from choosing the stone to helping him build a masterpiece of his own design. The course is suitable for both beginners and more experienced students and it is provided for a maximum of 6 participants.
You’ll sojourn at an organic farm in the middle of a nature reserve where you’ll get the chance to enjoy the beauty and the pleasures of the Italian countryside while walking in the nature or just lounging by the pool surrounded by acres of natural park. You’ll experience fine genuine local food, a combination of excellent farm-fresh organic ingredients and skillful authentic Italian cooking. The wonders of Tuscia will inspire your experience. You’ll visit the world famous Civita di Bagnoregio and other local pearls where you’ll find plenty of treasures. At the Park of the Monsters of Bomarzo, you’ll see the sophistication of the renaissance in Tuscia walking through volcanic rocks shaped to form fantastic sculptures. The medieval neighborhoods of Viterbo will enchant you with their narrow alleys and their authentic atmosphere. Finally, what a better way to end your trip other than a boat cruise on Lake Bolsena?
Regula Zwicky was born in Switzerland in 1963. She trained as a stonemason by various artisans of Zurich. In Italy since 1985, an instinctive and respectful relationship with the raw material becomes her approach to art. She lives and works as a freelance sculptor at the farmhouse ‘Doppio Sguardo’ about 5 km from Civita di Bagnoregio.

Sculpturing inTuscia is organized in collaboration with a bio farm located inside a nature reserve just a few steps from the artist workshop.
TRANSPORT
Upon request, we provide transportation for the tour activities and the transfers to reach Tuscia and return from/to Orvieto, Rome, Civitavecchia, Florence and other cities in central Italy.
