Monastero pizzeria in Viterbo has easily become my favorite pizza place in the world. I was told by many students before me that it was the best of the best but I had no idea that it would exceed all of my expectations. First you are given a menu that lists more options and creations than you could ever think of and trying to decide on a pizza is always the hardest part. These magnificent pizzas are then cooked in a fire brick oven and if you are lucky you can sit by the oven and watch the pizzas come out. The wait is never long to get your pizza and once it comes to the table you will be shocked at how big they are.
The first time I got my Monastero’s pizza I had no idea how I would finish the whole thing. It fills up two dinner plates and has very generous toppings. The crust is very thin and crunchy which is something that I have never experienced and I will definitely miss back in the United States. One pizza and a liter of beer to share with friends is my kind of meal.0
